Brand identity for Ovation Media, a company providing copywriting, copyediting, social media account management, and SEO services out of Bristol in the UK to clients around the world. Sarah Watson, the founder of Ovation Media had previously worked as an editor in publishing for over 20 years. Mid pandemic like many others she decided to up-skill and go at it alone as a freelancer, and thus Ovation Media was born.
It was requested that the logo was to be based on the ‘hands raised in celebration’ emoji, with the wider identity of the brand to have a visually fun, vibrant, and playful look. I chose to use a mix of patterns, gradients, and graphic elements, giving Ovation Media a contemporary feel, and moving Sarah away from the confines of the old-fashioned black and white corporate world she had been accustomed to.
